My girlfriend and I went to Hooters for dinner, because we can't get enough of the wings, and their nachos are the closest thing I can get to Mexican food here in northern Florida. Anyways, I drank some long islands, and got a bit tipsy. Not white girl wasted, but enough to loosen up a bit and not care about judgments. After Hooters, Catherine and I went to do some shopping. The first stop was the dollar store (which Catherine went to), and I went next door to Books A Million.... and I bought a few books. I haven't been much of a bookworm for a while and I really need/want to be, especially for my goals for my Day Zero Project!
Heres what I bought!
I know the movie just came out, but I haven't seen it, and I really wanted to read the book! Here is the Amazon synopsis: "In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself."This one caught my attention because its 's set in the 1920's so I definitely want to read it!
